The Senate approved today, July 1, 2025, the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" by a narrow margin (51-50, with the tie-breaking vote from JD Vance).

The CBO estimates an increase in the deficit of between 3.3 and 4.5 trillion USD over the next decade.
The bill now moves to the House for final approval before July 4.
