As of 2025, the US SEC has not approved any spot ETF that directly holds XRP (similar to Bitcoin spot ETFs). The main reason is the SEC's previous controversy over the securities status of XRP (although a court ruling in 2023 determined that XRP itself is not a security, the regulatory stance remains cautious).
