$BTC Wallet Satoshi Nakamoto — or more precisely, the collection of wallets associated with it — still receives a small amount of Bitcoin. Some people send BTC to Satoshi's address as a tribute, to draw attention, or as part of a social action or promotion.
Meanwhile, Bitcoiners often send funds to Satoshi's wallet as a sign of respect or belief in the origin story of Bitcoin. These coins are considered "burned" because their keys are assumed to be inaccessible.
Also, in some cases, this may be used for "dusting attacks," where an attacker sends small amounts to track wallet activity and identify users. However, this is less relevant for addresses known to be inactive, such as Satoshi's.
The coins held by Satoshi in this wallet have never been moved from their original address since they were mined between 2009 and 2010. The fact that Satoshi has never touched these coins increases trust in Bitcoin's decentralization.
