Eight Bitcoin wallets transfer 80,000 Bitcoins in the largest transfer ever in the 'Satoshi Era'
All of these transferred coins are among the rarest categories of BTC: they were mined or transacted during the 'Satoshi Era', an undefined period from Bitcoin's launch in 2009 until 2011, when its pseudonymous creator was still active online.
What you need to know:
More than 8 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin from the 'Satoshi Era' was transferred in the largest transfer ever.
Two inactive wallets, each holding 10,000 Bitcoins since 2011, transferred their funds to new addresses.
The identity of the wallet owner remains unknown, and the Bitcoins are now in new wallets using a modern address format.
