🚨 $7M Hulk Hogan Memecoin Scam Shocks Crypto Market

The crypto world has once again been shaken by a major scam. Just a day after the announcement of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan’s (Terry Bollea) death, suspicious new tokens flooded the market. The most notable among them — the so-called “Hulk Hogan Tribute” token — skyrocketed to over **$7 million in market cap** before crashing to near zero in less than 24 hours.

💥 The token — $SOL
$SOL — soared quickly on decentralized exchanges, driven by emotional traders hoping to honor the late icon. Despite early red flags, many jumped in. But within a single candle, the entire market cap collapsed to just **$5,700**, leaving only **$7,100 in liquidity**. That’s a drop of over **99.7%**.

🧠 Tribute or Trap?
While some thought this was a genuine tribute, blockchain analysts flagged it as a scam early on. The token was allegedly boosted using trading bots to fake high demand. There were even NFTs made with Hulk Hogan’s image — but none gained traction, overshadowed by the token’s dramatic fall.

🔁 Not the First Time…
This isn’t Hogan’s first brush with crypto controversy. Back in 2023, his official X (Twitter) account was hacked to promote a memecoin called *Hulkamania* — which ended in a classic rug pull.

This time, some traders even revived that old token — but it too crashed shortly after a small pump.

🧢 Ben Askren Dragged Into Another Scam?
In a parallel case, UFC fighter **Ben Askren** found himself unknowingly (or unintentionally) involved in another memecoin scam. Just one day after being discharged from the hospital — following a double lung transplant — his official X account promoted **“FUNKY,”** a Solana-based token named after his nickname.

🧨 It was later revealed that the token was launched by **Sahil Arora**, a known scammer behind multiple rug pulls. Soon after Askren’s post, the project was drained and abandoned, leaving the price at **zero** and the scammer walking away with just **$1,200**.

The crypto community suspects Askren’s account may have been compromised. His team hasn’t confirmed whether the post was authorized.
