thats as big as Yu-Gi-Oh, Mortal Kombat, and The Sims
the major difference between this approach from Maplestory and others in web3 is 1 thing
the game already works, it's already beloved, and the web3 elements strictly make the experience BETTER.
they don't need web3 to fundraise, they don't need it for attention...
they need it because it's the best way to enhance the user experience, fixing an issue that plagued the previous iteration (that was still successful).
it's one of the few times where a web2 audience can easily rally behind a blockchain integration, not because of speculative upside, but because it's scratching an itch they've had for decades.
I expect no miracles, but I'm incredibly excited and optimistic.
