Brazil gains stablecoin in real on the Ripple blockchain

Braza Bank announced this week the launch of BBRL, a new stablecoin pegged to the real, which will be available in the first quarter for Braza On customers, the bank's app.

BBRL operates on the XRP Ledger blockchain from Ripple and has already been used by institutional clients. Now the stablecoin in real will also be accessible to retail, expanding its reach and consolidating the company as a reference in the sector.

According to the CEO of the Braza Group, Marcelo Sacomori, the stablecoin offers Brazilians protection against volatility and greater efficiency in financial transactions. As the executive highlighted, the currency contributes to a more inclusive and secure ecosystem.

Additionally, Sacomori emphasized that the stablecoin aims to facilitate international transfers and investments. Thus, BBRL improves liquidity in the digital market. The bank is betting on building a robust network that ensures high liquidity and greater stability in financial operations.

Braza Bank is also closely monitoring regulatory advancements in Brazil. Sacomori revealed that the company is prepared for future adaptations from the Central Bank and ready to serve exchanges that wish to operate in the country.
