wen altcoin season? One way we can calculate whether we're heading into altcoin season is through Bitcoin Dominance. So what is it?
It's actually a simple mathematical formula where we calculate how much of the overall crypto pie is made up of BTC
[BTC Market Cap / Total Crypto Market Cap]
This % is used to see whether Bitcoin or Altcoins are taking the lead.
Let's use today's numbers as an example. BTC MC is 2.36 Trillion, and Crypto MC is 4.03T, so Bitcoin Dominance is 58%
We'll want Bitcoin Dominance < 30% to 40% consistently to signal an altcoin rising.
