SEC and CFTC may team up to regulate cryptocurrencies
Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that the SEC and CFTC are discussing ways to effectively collaborate on cryptocurrency regulation. One idea is to reinstate the charter of the joint CFTC and SEC advisory committee, which was created in 2010 as a forum to discuss new regulatory issues affecting both agencies. The committee has not been active since 2014.
Santiment: retail investors are leaving the crypto market amid falling asset prices
Retail investors are leaving the cryptocurrency market due to fears of a further general decline in digital asset prices, Santiment said.
"Historically, such periods of reduced faith by retail investors are a positive signal for medium to long-term price performance. When small investors sell coins, they are accumulated by whales who use the capital to boost the market at times when crowd panic peaks."
