i take a lot of lessons from the media biz & try to apply them to crypto. starting to think of L1s/L2s as MSMs; fighting for same audience, same content, rotating talent, same viral themes.
i used to say every news sites front page is exactly the same. so is every L1 app page.
for crypto, there's an argument that existing venture/PE capital deployment strategies are more friction, servicing against innovation, rather than promoting it--
Crypto lost the plot by investing & optimizing for bots, not people — growth hacks over utility, speculation over substance. The next era demands real products, built for real users. It’s time to turn the lights on and invest with intention. 👇
crypto long desired to play the invest in infrastructure who will then build/invest in the apps game, but it lacked creativity and substance. ai starting to play a similar game, but my bet is it will have different results.
adoption & convenience of stablecoins is web3's mass distribution moment -- just as social platforms (Meta, Twitter, etc.) gave way for broadened scale, adoption & monetization for any company, stablecoins serve the same for all of crypto.
Regulatory clarity is crypto’s electrical grid. & we've gone from 3rd world to closer to 1st world in just 7 months. Now it's up to us to keep the lights off or turn them on.
