If anyone is familiar with MCP servers and wants to play...
Caveats:
- it tries to auto-launch the node / wallet if it's not running, but since you might have the MCP server launched multiple times I recommend you do that yourself:
My testing with the mcp CLI tool (eg. mcp shell) works well, and testing with a couple of other clients was fine. Testing it inside VSCode with an extension didn't work - on macOS the base node kept crashing on start outside of the build directory (I suspect code signing issue or something weird), and with the wallet it kept complaining that it timed out after 30 seconds (even with the heartbeat I added).
BUT it works, and needs reviews / testing / feedback.
I often compare ZCash to Telegram because they both have privacy *features*, but these features are hardly used, severely compromised due to compliance risks, and use cryptography that is not well reviewed. This would be in contrast to Monero, which is more akin to SimpleX or even Signal.
I realised today that the comparison is actually really unfair, and out of courtesy and respect I want to find a better analogy…because ultimately, Telegram has actual users.
The cool thing about The DeLorean Marketplace launching on Sui is that your can get stolen without the thief needing to even break into your house. https://decrypt.co/321779/a-new-frontier-delorean-launches-on-chain-car-marketplace-with-patrick-stewart
Oh my...if you ever wanted to see a murder on the Bitcoin mailing list, here is Pieter Wuille slaughtering "I want my voice to be heard" Bob @boomer_btc.
PSA: if you're mining Monero on SupportXMR<dot>com, they are merge mining Tari without you knowing or being rewarded. I strongly suggest you STOP or demand you get the Tari from them!
A specific example, for anyone that wants to validate this, is Monero block 3 409 340. The coinbase extra (https://t.co/7uZTDup3SS) ties back to Tari block 4054 (https://t.co/jsxAro88fa) which they merge-mined.
Right now, there are no Monero mining pools that allow you to merge-mine Tari. There are several that are working on it, but you don't deserve to have the extra rewards for your hard-won hashrate stolen by a greedy pool operator.
