Many Bitcoiners who should know better are claiming nodes don’t matter. Stay frosty out there.

#Bitcoin is a fusion of ideology and technology. Its parameters are both ideological and technical. You cannot separate these two aspects from one another.

With everything that’s happened in the last few weeks with people being banned from the repo, PRs being ninja locked/unlocked, talk about Bitcoin being a database, encouragement to just run a pruned node, etc, do you feel more confident to use Bitcoin Core or less?

At the nation-state level, #Bitcoin is becoming synonymous with stability and financial resilience. Meanwhile, you have Core devs and their groupies talkings about the “monetary use-case” of #Bitcoin.

Only the two people against removing the OP_RETURN limit seem to be in a serious mood. Everyone else seems to be having a blast that you’re going to get more spam on your node. The body language speaks volumes.

In the last 2 weeks: ➡️ @GrassFedBitcoin was banned from GitHub for “abuse” ➡️ Admins locked a contentious PR, unlocked it to let someone submit an ACK, locked it again, and later deleted the ACK after it was noticed Many things have been said about many things and there have been many multi hour podcasts, but these strange behaviours seem to just be ignored and memory holed. If we go farther back there’s also the odd behavior around changing the definition of datacarriersize https://t.co/ePffshsxyl Is @MrHodl right that everyone will just forget all this happened in 2 weeks? Or is this a My Trust in You is Broken moment?
