I would much rather stay out of this, but I do have to say the following: I think spamming the Bitcoin blockchain with NFTs is dumb. I think many of the people doing it are either dumb or malicious. Yet, I defend everyone's right to use the blockchain as they wish as long as they do not violate consensus rules, and I believe that attempts to police it that rely on anything other than built-in incentives and self-interest are deluded at best and even more harmful than the NFTs at worst. Either way, starting flame wars on Twitter is hardly helpful. It is exhausting having to deal with this negativity. Many great developers have gotten burnt out over this, and quite a few have left. This is FAR more harmful to Bitcoin than someone putting cat pics on the blockchain.

If you stick around Bitcoin long enough, you get to see the same battles played out again and again. But at some point you just stop caring because you've already been through it so many times you already know the result.
