really sad to see someone else from the space be taken away, he seemed to be doing much better in the past year

the circumstances are still unconfirmed but it’s rumored to be the result of a drain

this space can cause a lot of pain but no amount of it should be a reason to quit, reach out to people for help

few months ago 3 old wallets got drained out of the blue, only thing in common being BSC activity in 2020

im usually very careful with how i store keys so this left me confused until i talked to @AzFlin today

it seems like the source could be a @binance wallet extension compromise

the chrome extension (Binance Extension Wallet/BEW/币安链钱包) was mostly popular in 2020-2021 during BSC season days and i personally uninstalled it around 2022

if this is the attack vector it sounds like binance was somehow storing the pkeys on their servers and if you ever used the extension your wallets are compromised

many users are reporting drains recently and quite a few of them have usage of this extension in common

my wallets that were drained were NOT generated using this extension, only a few keys that i imported were actually drained solidifying the theory

the extension was recently shut down but id love if @binance could start an internal investigation and see what went wrong

with so many NFT mints happening on @megaeth_labs testnet everyday it’s hard to stay up to date

there was this game called group recruitment plaza where different war RP groups were recruiting players / had a paid booth to showcase what they're about

would be cool to see a web3 version "memecoin shill plaza"

virtual hangout environment where people can join and get shilled projects talking to believers, can pay for virtual stage where to do presentations, sponsor parts of the map & so on

not too hard to build and would be a much more fun way to handle discoverability

we kinda miss a public hangout forum that isnt algo based in crypto tbh

seeing lots of people shilling @tknzfun as the endgame to "coining everything"

as much as i hate shitcoins, an extension that allows to quickly tokenize tweets can kinda solve one of the big issues with cabal plays

currently all meme trading is based on attention and even if you're early to a narrative, you might be in the wrong coin not supported by the cabals and still lose

the big issue is that there is lack of a source of truth, people are not trading pure topics but fragments of those

if TKNZ makes one slight change and only allows one coin per tweet you get a system where there is kind of a single source of truth per tweet that everyone agrees on - no more "my coin is the right one yours sucks" plays

again i absolutely hate the degeneracy going on with memecoins and would much rather trade pure mindshare through things like @noise_xyz but i appreciate any step that tries to level the playing field for traders

if memecoins are here to stay we need to get rid of insider plays and topic spam

on the AppStore crypto policy change:

i think theres very few dapps that should actually have an app

its bad UX to fragment everything into small single use apps and re implement the same thing for each (on-ramp, import wallet, …)

the way to go is one single superapp that handles everything and where anyone can deploy their mini apps semi-permissionlessly

the only good thing coming from the change is web2 pre existing apps now able to accept payments via crypto rails

on the superapp with mini apps meta my favorite bets are:
- @TacBuild mobile first frontends for your favorite EVM apps directly on Telegram
- @worldcoin which already has a thriving AppStore fully operational

bullish on the meta but don’t think it’s as big of a change we think it to be for the time being
