A source at an issuer said the latest round of comments was “reasonable” and they expected approval soon. A source at another issuer described the comments as “mild”.

Leading Ethereum developer Consensys announced late Tuesday that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is “closing its investigation” into the cryptocurrency.

The decision to end the investigation came after Consensys sent a letter on June 7, requesting confirmation from the SEC that the recent ETH ETF approval, was based on ETH being considered a commodity.

This is considered an important victory for Ethereum developers, technology providers and industry members, as it clarifies the SEC's position that Ethereum transactions are not considered transactions. stock exchange.
