⚠️Volatility Shares says leveraged Ethereum ETF will start trading on June 4
Volatility Shares 2x Ether ETF (ETHU) will be the first leveraged Ethereum (ETH) ETF in the U.S., the company said in an announcement on its website, and trading will begin on June 4.
Stuart Barton, chief investment officer of Volatility Shares, said in an interview with CoinDesk that the company's successful approval of the leveraged Ethereum ETF may help pave the way for the final approval of the spot Ethereum ETF. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved key regulatory documents related to the spot fund last week, but has not yet approved its listing.
Barton said: "While the SEC is undoubtedly working out several details of the spot ETF at this time, the launch of the 2x Ethereum ETF is undoubtedly a sign of the SEC's growing interest in more cryptocurrency ETFs."
