Binance's latest Launchpad project - $Omni
Binance's listing and Launchpad are getting faster and faster, and it feels a bit overwhelming.
Omni's predecessor was Rift Finance, a DeFi protocol that provides financial services for Web3 projects. In the first few days of its launch, the total locked value (TVL) of the protocol reached the protocol cap of $50 million. The team then began to expand Rift to other smart contract platforms and encountered the problems that Omni now needs to solve: liquidity fragmentation, poor developer experience, and insecure cross-chain operations.
Omni is Ethereum's interoperability layer, enabling developers to program global applications that span Ethereum's entire Rollup ecosystem. When building applications, developers will no longer be forced to build within the scope of a single Rollup or execution environment - they will be able to seamlessly build applications that exist everywhere in the Ethereum ecosystem, while accessing all users and all capital.
To put it bluntly, Omni is to connect various L2s. It should still be in the test network and will launch the main network soon.
