1. Please introduce yourself
Hello everyone, I’m Uncle Jian. I’m the founder of J-Lab, a game enthusiast, and I focus on investment research, airdrops, and blockchain games.
Because I am particularly optimistic about the development of the Web3 track this year and look forward to more innovative products being developed in Web3, I expanded the existing team and created a Twitter account dedicated to the blockchain game track: J-Lab. We will focus on blockchain game projects, do more project research, industry trend analysis, and publish industry overview reports. We hope that through these methods, we can connect more game teams, promote the development of the Web3 and GameFi tracks, and contribute to them.
2. What was the opportunity that led you to enter the circle?
Before I joined Web3, I worked in the Internet industry as a technician. When I first started learning technology, I was very interested in hacking techniques, so I studied various Trojan viruses and virtual machines. I used what I learned to find a vulnerability in a website, but I did not do anything malicious to it. Instead, I contacted the administrator of the website to fix the vulnerability. This experience gave me a deep understanding of network security.
I came into contact with Web3 in 2012. When I was having dinner with a few friends who were in the technical field, we were all talking about BTC and blockchain. These concepts were very novel at the time and I found them very interesting. Driven by my curiosity, I tried to participate in mining and successfully mined BTC. However, due to my lack of knowledge at the time and my failure to keep the private key, these BTCs were left in my wallet forever. Since then, I have not paid attention to Web3.
It was not until 2017 that I started to get in touch with Web3 again. When I was researching about investment, I noticed that there was a chain that had privately raised 1,100 BTC. This subverted my cognition. Then I started to study the code of this chain and found that many of them imitated the codes of BTC and ETH, which made me doubt their long-term value. Sure enough, not long after, this chain was reduced to zero after cutting the leeks.
Another experience sounded the alarm for my fund security. Around 2019, in order to write articles about the Defi track, I created seven wallets for interacting with Defi projects. Some of these projects sent me considerable airdrops, which made me feel very accomplished, so I embarked on the road of airdrops. As I interacted with more and more airdrops, the risk of my wallet also increased. During the interaction, I may have connected to a phishing website, which caused the loss of assets in one of my wallets. While I was unhappy, I realized that fund security should be put first. This is also the first lesson required for all newcomers after entering the circle.
Another experience was that a token I bought for $50,000 turned into $300,000 in just a few hours. This feeling was like a dream and quite crazy. But after the madness, I calmed down. I realized that the most important thing to gain a long-term foothold in the Web3 field is to return to the essence. We need to study blockchain more systematically, whether it is investment or technology, we need to improve our cognitive level. We cannot indulge in the speculative atmosphere, otherwise we will become leeks at any time. Therefore, I began to spend more time learning and researching Web3 knowledge, and sharing my research results through my self-media account, both to help others and to continuously improve my cognitive level. Because I have always believed in a sentence: altruism is the best self-interest.
Core content: Before joining Web3, I worked in the Internet industry as a technician. I first came into contact with Web3 in 2012 and successfully obtained BTC by trying to mine, but due to improper storage of private keys, BTC always stayed in my wallet. I came into contact with Web3 again in 2017 and noticed that there was a problem with the public chain code of the private placement of 1,100 BTC. In 2019, in order to write an article about the Defi track, I created seven wallets and received airdrops, but the loss of assets made me realize that fund security is crucial. I realized that if I want to be based in Web3 for a long time, I need to systematically study blockchain and improve my cognition. Therefore, I spend more time learning and researching Web3 knowledge, and share the results through self-media accounts to help others and improve my own cognitive level.

3. Can you tell me more about the projects you are working on?
At present, my team mainly focuses on airdrops and blockchain games. The scope of airdrops is relatively wide. Not only can you interact with most track projects, but you can also participate in zero-cost new arbitrage. I think this is a level 1.5 market that is very suitable for small funds to participate. Therefore, in terms of airdrops, our main task is to output tutorial content to help everyone seize more airdrop opportunities and accumulate wealth at a lower cost.
Blockchain games are our main focus this year. We have opened a Twitter account specifically for the blockchain game track: J-Lab, to follow and output blockchain game projects. Compared with the last round, many higher-quality blockchain games have been launched for public testing, and our team members have participated in them. This year we will continue to explore more good blockchain game projects.
In the future, we will not only continue to output high-quality content online, but also expand offline resources and communicate with more outstanding teams. And when we have enough energy, we will also plan to organize offline activities, and may co-organize activities with other partners. For example, our team will also participate in and communicate with the Web3 Carnival next month.
Core content: At present, our team focuses on two directions: airdrops and blockchain games. In terms of airdrops, we provide tutorials to help everyone accumulate wealth at low cost. In terms of blockchain games, we focus on and output high-quality projects and continue to explore more opportunities. In the future, while outputting content online, we will expand offline resources, cooperate with other excellent teams, and plan to organize offline activities.
4. What is your most memorable experience in Web3?
Two years ago, when our team was short of people, I recruited a classmate who had never been exposed to Web3. Although he had almost no experience in Web3, he was very interested in this field and was very smart. Then I took him to learn and grow step by step, starting from the most basic blockchain knowledge, and gradually established a comprehensive understanding of the entire knowledge system. Moreover, he supplemented his knowledge while practicing many projects, so he grew very quickly. Recently, he happily told me that the slow cultivation in the bear market finally bore fruit. He followed our team to participate in the interaction between Starknet and Wormhole. These two projects issued airdrops some time ago, and he made a lot of money. He was very happy to invite our team to have a meal.
While I am happy for him, I want to say that after making money in the cryptocurrency circle, everyone should control their desires and not be too greedy. Don’t keep investing the money you earn into the market, trying to roll out more wealth without cashing it out. Once you encounter black swan events like 312, FTX, and wallet leaks, your assets will shrink significantly at best, and return to zero at worst. So I suggest that after making money in the cryptocurrency circle, you must cash it out in time and put the money in your pocket. After you have money, you can spend more time with your family, eat, drink, travel with friends, and keep a happy mood. I think this is more important, and this is the purpose of our coming to the cryptocurrency circle.
Core content: I once led a newcomer who had no knowledge of Web3 at the beginning, but now can operate the project skillfully and get results. I am impressed by his growth along the way. However, this experience also reminds me that even if you succeed in the cryptocurrency circle, you must know how to control your desires and cash out in time. After all, what really matters is being able to enjoy life and spend quality time with family and friends.
5. Can you share with us the skills or areas that you think you are good at?
I come from a technical background, so I am good at finding opportunities from a technical perspective. For example, when I saw Polkadot, I did some technical research and investigation, and then I thought that this project had great potential, so I ambushed its tokens in the early stage, and later I benefited from a nearly 40-fold increase. As I participate in more and more projects, I have accumulated a certain sensitivity. After I have a general understanding of the basic situation of many projects, I can roughly judge their future prospects. Therefore, when our team selects projects and outputs content, we will also analyze them from a technical perspective. Even for very early projects, we will do a lot of research, step on many pitfalls before users, and then share relatively reliable opportunities.
Core content: As a technical person, I am good at finding project opportunities from a technical perspective. For example, after an in-depth study of Polkadot, I believe it has great potential and has gained 40 times since its early entry. When selecting projects and outputting content, our team bases its selection on technical analysis, tries its best to avoid risks and share reliable opportunities.
6. What areas do you think have the potential for development in Web3?
In this bull market, I am optimistic about many tracks, such as BTC ecology, SOL ecology and AI. In particular, BTC ecology and AI are relatively new and have not been hyped on a large scale in the previous bull market, so there may be greater room for imagination. Because everyone generally believes that new things are more popular than old things, and new stories usually have greater hype potential. I have shared many specific projects in my tweets. If you are interested, you can go to my tweets to take a look.
In addition, chain gaming is the launcher of the last bull market. Although it is not a new track, through data observation and research on the new round of chain gaming projects, we have found that the playability, quality and economic model design of the game are A significant improvement over the previous generation. For example, I recently played a casual card game. I was so immersed in it that I unconsciously forgot whether my purpose was to make gold or to have fun, and the boundaries became blurred. I personally think that these changes are very worthy of recognition, so I will continue to pay attention to the chain travel circuit. The entire track is ready to go, whether it is the second level or the game itself, it is a direction worthy of attention. We will release relevant industry reports in the future, including our observations and data, which everyone can refer to. I believe everyone will have a more comprehensive understanding.
Core content: I am optimistic about BTC ecology, SOL ecology, AI and other tracks. Because the new narrative will be more popular, a number of specific projects have been shared in the tweet. If you are interested, you can check it out. In addition, chain games have significantly improved compared to the previous round, and the entire track is ready to go, which deserves attention. We will release an industry report on chain games and provide observation data.

7. How do you view investment?
I always have a concept: investment is the realization of personal cognition. But it does not mean that you can make more money if you have a high cognition. This understanding may be too simplistic and crude. I think different cognitions may lead to different choices and results. In the currency circle, there are many ways to make money, and everyone should find a way to make money that suits them. Some people like to play airdrops, some like to speculate on the second level, and some specialize in playing local dogs. Everyone can make money in the way they like, but if you choose a certain way, you must conduct in-depth research, improve your cognition and technical level, and can't blindly rush in to be a leek. Investing is not particularly difficult, but remember one sentence: never leave the table. This sentence means that you can live longer in the Web3 field.
There are two meanings to live longer. The first is to stay healthy. Now many diseases tend to be younger, and most of us in the cryptocurrency circle sit in front of the computer or hold a mobile phone all day. Therefore, physical health is really important, and we must make time for exercise. Another meaning is to make the funds live longer. To give a simple example, such as playing the second level, my advice is to try not to invest with a full position. My habit is to keep about 20% of the funds specifically for dealing with black swan events in the cryptocurrency circle. Once a black swan event occurs, I can use this part of the liquidity to buy the bottom. Because when extreme market conditions or black swan events occur, if there is no free funds on hand, it will become very passive. In addition, a lot of investment experience is gained through losses, and no one is particularly good at the beginning. Therefore, especially for unfamiliar fields, you can take some small funds to try. It doesn’t matter if you lose a little money, because through losses, you may accumulate experience and know where there are pits. This is also the case when our team is doing a lot of project research. We need to take a lot of small funds to try and try. These experiences can be used as a reference for everyone in the cryptocurrency circle when doing research and investment.
Core content: Investment is the realization of personal cognition, but high cognition does not necessarily bring more benefits. In the cryptocurrency circle, there are many ways to make money, and everyone needs to find the one that suits them. After choosing, you should conduct in-depth research to improve your cognition level and avoid becoming a leek. Investing is not difficult, but remember one thing: never leave the table. Keep your body healthy and protect your funds. Keep some funds for emergencies and avoid being passive. Investment experience is usually accumulated through losses, so you can try it with a small amount of funds.
8. Do you have any questions you would like to share?
I believe that the development of Web3 needs more fresh blood, because with more talent and funds, the entire ecosystem can develop faster and healthier. Therefore, our team takes into account the understanding ability of newcomers when outputting content. We strive to make the article easy to understand, considering the problems and difficulties that readers may encounter, as well as the challenges that may be faced by participating in the project. In the process of researching projects and writing content, we will try our best to study these contents clearly and make them more understandable and concise.
Finally, I hope that more newcomers will be interested in Web3 and join it. In our team's plan, we plan to cooperate with more project parties and strive to lower the threshold of the entire Web3. Project parties can focus on the project development and operation they are good at; and we will provide better content in project research and content creation; users can get more valuable information from our content, and achieve a win-win situation for all parties in this way. I hope that Web3 will grow stronger.
Core content: Web3 needs more fresh blood to promote its rapid and healthy development.
