Since February 2023, 13 leading mining companies have placed orders for specialized equipment worth more than $1 billion.
In particular, CleanSpark and Riot Platforms spent $888 million on equipment.
Miners also began to consume record amounts of energy.
They used 19.6 gigawatts of electricity last month, compared with 12.1 gigawatts during the same period in 2023.
