The Starknet Foundation conducted an airdrop of STRK tokens at the beginning of the month, with 49.9% of the tokens distributed to "core contributors" and "investors." The tokens initially had a four-year lock-up period, but this has since been adjusted.
According to the latest schedule, 0.64% of the tokens, or 64 million, will be unlocked on April 15 instead of the original 134 million. Unlocking will continue at a rate of 0.64% per month until March 15, 2025.
After that, the unlocking rate will increase to 1.27% per month for 24 months until March 15, 2027. According to the new plan, only 580 million tokens will be unlocked by the end of the year, less than the 2 billion originally planned.
