Golden Finance reported that billionaire Alan Howard, co-founder of Brevan Howard Asset Management, has sold a small amount of his personal shares in a cryptocurrency company and plans to reinvest the proceeds in Brevan Howard Digital, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Alan Howard is the co-founder of Brevan Howard Asset Management.
The shares being sold include stakes in custody firm Copper and broker Bitpanda, and if an acceptable offer is received, Howard plans to reinvest the proceeds into Brevan Howard’s digital asset unit, the people said. The size of the stake or estimated potential value has not been disclosed.
Brevan Howard Digital plans to add more capital to its existing strategies and launch new asset management products and services in the coming months, another person said, asking not to be named because the information is private.
