The trading volume has been very active since the US Securities Regulatory Commission approved Bitcoin spot. Recently, the Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission (SFC) also received the first application for Bitcoin spot ETF.
Harvest Fund, one of the largest fund management companies in China, submitted an application for a spot BTC ETF to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission a few days ago. The report added that the regulator is actively working to speed up the process of approving the ETF to be launched on February 10 after the new year. The first Hong Kong spot BTC ETF was launched. Hong Kong’s regulatory agencies may adopt a method similar to that of the US SCE to approve multiple spot ETFs to ensure fair competition, so there may be more institutions applying for BTC spot ETFs in Hong Kong.
