The Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) has listed the first

traded cryptocurrency index fund under the name Bitcoin BETA ETF, providing investors in Poland with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to Bitcoin within a regulated environment.

The fund does not invest in actual Bitcoin but relies on futures contracts traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), with a hedging mechanism to reduce the risks of exchange rate fluctuations between the US dollar and the Polish zloty. It was developed by AgioFunds TFI after receiving approval from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, while Dom Maklerski Banku Ochrony Środowiska S.A. acts as the market maker.

Michał Kobza, a member of the Warsaw Stock Exchange board, confirmed that the listing of the fund represents a step that enhances the safety and transparency of trading, allowing investors to enter the digital currency market through a regulated financial instrument.

This listing comes to join a global wave of Bitcoin ETFs traded on major exchanges such as Nasdaq, New York, Toronto, Germany, and Switzerland, amid expectations that the number of cryptocurrency funds globally will exceed 100 in the coming year.
