🇺🇸🔥 CME GROUP WILL LAUNCH OPTIONS ON XRP AND SOL FUTURES IN OCTOBER 🇺🇸🔥
On October 13, CME Group, the world's leading derivatives marketplace, will launch options on SOL and XRP futures.
This new offering will include options on SOL futures, Micro SOL, XRP, and Micro XRP, with daily, monthly, and quarterly expirations, thus expanding the range of regulated instruments for cryptocurrency trading.
The success of SOL and XRP futures is already significant: Solana has surpassed 540,000 contracts, with a value of $22.3 billion, while XRP futures have exceeded 370,000 contracts for $16.2 billion.
In August, Solana futures recorded a record of 9,000 contracts of average daily volume, while XRP reached 6,600 contracts ADV.
This expansion is driven by the growing institutional demand for regulated crypto products.
Options on futures will allow investors to manage risk more efficiently and develop more sophisticated investment strategies on increasingly adopted tokens both in retail and institutions.
Giovanni Vicioso, global head of crypto products at CME, emphasizes that innovation in the sector requires regulated tools for a broader and safer risk management.
This move marks another step towards the maturity and integration of cryptocurrencies into the traditional financial system.
