Saylor's wealth surges to $7.3 billion, making the billionaire list
Michael Saylor, the Bitcoin enthusiast, has finally reaped the rewards. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index shows that the head of MicroStrategy (now called Strategy) has seen his net worth soar to $7.37 billion, ranking 491st in the world. Interestingly, at the same time he made the billionaire list, his company was excluded from the S&P 500 index. This stark contrast perfectly illustrates the traditional financial system's complex attitude towards Bitcoin. Saylor's wealth composition is quite simple: $650 million in cash plus $6.72 billion in company equity. The value of this equity is basically tied to the 636,505 Bitcoins held by the company. It can be said that his personal wealth is a direct reflection of Bitcoin prices.
