I have recently been researching the Goat Network project, and I find it quite interesting. I'd like to share my thoughts with everyone.
First, let's talk about the positioning of this project. @GOATRollup is actually a BTC Layer2 project based on ZK Rollup technology. To be honest, this narrative is quite common in the BTC ecosystem and isn't anything new. However, what's interesting is that Goat is actually a sub-project created by the ZKM @ProjectZKM team, which adds significant weight to its background.
Next, let's discuss the team. I found that the core teams of both projects are basically the same group of people, which is a clever move. However, Goat does have its own characteristics; they specifically brought in two people to handle the economic model design and risk control aspects of asset management. I think this arrangement is quite professional.
The CEO is Metis, who has a certain level of recognition in the community. From the team configuration, the technical strength should be reliable, as ZKM indeed has accumulated experience in ZK technology.
Overall, even though the BTC Layer2 track is currently very competitive, with the technical foundation of ZKM and a dedicated economic model and risk control team, I believe Goat Network is still worth paying attention to. Of course, this field currently has too many projects, and ultimately, it will depend on the product implementation and ecological development.
