Cardano surges: Charles Hoskinson responds after accusations of 600 million USD

The community #Cardano continues to heat up as founder Charles Hoskinson publicly criticizes the Cardano Foundation after the latest audit report confirms he is not involved in the accusation of embezzling 600 million USD.

The origin of the issue stems from the hard fork Allegra in 2021, when Hoskinson was accused of exploiting the Genesis Key to modify the ledger, withdrawing 600 million USD. However, he asserts that the coins in question were actually returned to the original investors or transferred to Intersect – a governance organization of Cardano.

Reports from BDO and the law firm McDermott, Will & Schulte have confirmed that this process was without wrongdoing. Nevertheless, Hoskinson remains angry that the Cardano Foundation has kept silent throughout the time he faced accusations, demanding an "official apology" and calling for the community to vote for a vote of no confidence or even a class action lawsuit to change the governance structure.

Previously, Hoskinson had criticized #CardanoFoundation for being slow in promoting the integration of stablecoins, making Cardano's DeFi difficult to compete with $ETH or $SOL .

This tension reflects the internal divisions that could affect the community's trust in Cardano, amidst the context that this blockchain has a market capitalization of about 29 billion USD.
