Continuing the topic of crypto in Ukraine. A recent case involving detectives #NABU
In April 2025, some journalists discovered that 23 NABU detectives declared the presence of cryptocurrency in their declarations with an average income of about 100,000 UAH per month. At the same time:
⚡️In 15 declarations, false information is indicated.
⚡️In two cases, hidden wallet addresses are presented that cannot be verified.
⚡️In some cases, the amounts declared as cryptocurrency are impressive: for example:
The wife of senior detective #Rykovtsev allegedly bought 12.49 BTC worth over $1.1 million — however, the wallet is not registered in the network and has not made any transactions.
Another detective — Stanislav #Braverman — made a purchase of 1.39 million UAH and an instant sale of 1.32 million UAH that looks like a scheme for legalizing illegal income. One of the detectives — #Moiseev — made a purchase for 820,000 UAH and a sale for 757,000 UAH the next day also raises suspicions.
It is assumed that these schemes may serve as a tool for legalizing corrupt funds through cryptocurrency, but specific investigations by NABU or the prosecutor's office are not yet completed and there are no open charges...
