Volkswagen Group Singapore has become the first major automaker in the city-state to let customers pay for cars and after-sales services with crypto.

Payments are made by scanning a QR code and are instantly converted into Singapore dollars (SGD). This protects Volkswagen from volatility while giving customers more freedom in how they pay.

– Up to SGD 4,500 per transaction

– Up to SGD 13,500 per day

With over 1 in 4 Singaporeans already owning crypto, the move marks a major step in merging fintech innovation with the automotive world.
