Despite the massive sell-off, the entity still holds 152,874 BTC valued at $17B. On-chain analyst Sani reported the whale had held these coins untouched for 5+ years before moving them to Hyperunite for liquidation. Over 12,000 BTC was sold in a single day, and activity suggests the whale may continue selling. Prominent analyst Willy Woo explained why BTC’s growth feels slow this cycle: OG whales who bought at $10 or less are offloading huge amounts. “It takes $110k+ of new capital to absorb each BTC they sell,” Woo noted.
