Today, while I was in the car, I came across an article by a big player in the square, and I agree with the viewpoint. Frequent small trades, low leverage, and long-term trading are unlikely to be profitable. True life-changing trades are mostly done with heavy positions and high leverage, made in one go. In 2021, I also heavily invested with high leverage in shib and matic, and it was a life-changing moment (although later, during the rapid broad fluctuations from May to July, I gave back to the market). But it cannot be denied that if you hope to change your fate with one trade and leave this market, that is indeed the recent path. The main reason I do not advocate this mindset is that 90% of people cannot trade well. Take it slow; lose small amounts rather than big ones, giving you time and opportunities to learn, understand, and experience the charm and cruelty of this market. If you jump in with everything, and you pick the wrong direction and trading pair, everything can be gone in seconds. Once it’s gone, you leave the table, and everything is over. There’s another reason: trading can be more addictive than drugs. Losing might even be considered a good ending; a worse outcome would be when a person, who has always been honest and hardworking, experiences earning hundreds of thousands or even millions of RMB for a few minutes or a day, and then they can never go back. The day they leave the market is when they've lost everything, borrowed from all their relatives and friends, and maxed out all their loans, without any regret. Or, by the time they reach that point, they are already beyond redemption, typically leading to family ruin. When you reach that point and think back, it may be better not to have started at all. Is it exaggerated? In 2021, it was also a bull market, but there were many people who were desperate to the point of suicide. Those who got rich overnight were visible, but you couldn’t see the countless families destroyed and desolate. Trading skills are just gambling skills; there is no essential difference. The trading market and the casino are also fundamentally the same. If you have never made money, I would actually recommend that you engage in spot trading with the big four or low leverage, only going long, entering in batches, and exiting at high points, repeating the cycle. You won’t make a fortune, but at least you won’t ruin yourself. There is no guaranteed winning trading method, nor are there indicators and predictions that are 100% accurate. In any case, it is just a matter of probability. I hope that in the future, when you are feeling impulsive, you can remember the words I said today. Let’s all take a moment to calm down.
