Time flies. On December 17, 2024, ETH fell below $4,000 and then fluctuated until it finally regained this threshold on August 8, 2025. After more than two hundred days and nights, the market oscillated between frenzy and silence, while I also drifted in the waves of life. When ETH dropped below $2,000, I wonder how many friends are still persevering in trading? As for me, bound by my studies, I could only occasionally steal a glance until this summer when I finally could immerse myself wholeheartedly in this digital ocean.
The candlestick chart on the screen rises and falls like the tides, sometimes surging, sometimes calming, resembling life—there are brilliant highlights and dark lows. At this moment, the night is deep, and thoughts are surging, so why not take this mood to chat with you all about the market and also about myself.
My first encounter with the crypto world was somewhat serendipitous. I am a CS:GO player, and although I just started playing not long ago, the game has already evolved into CS2. In my spare time, I like to check out the skins market, occasionally buying some gun skins and knife skins, and sometimes listening to the so-called 'teachers' to make small purchases, but ultimately, it's just a minor engagement. Later, I heard that these 'teachers' made money and then turned to trading cryptocurrencies. Out of curiosity, I downloaded OKX and was introduced to USDT, BTC, ETH, and SOL for the first time. However, at that time, I didn’t delve deeply; it was just a fleeting glance that I set aside.
The second encounter stemmed from a school competition. There was a blockchain topic in the selection, and since I had heard a little about it before, I hastily chose it (it turned out this decision was indeed not wise, and I ultimately did not win). To prepare for the competition, I began to learn Solidity—the smart contract language of Ethereum. At first, I was just tinkering on Sepolia, relying on faucets to obtain test coins. Later, to access the mainnet, I needed real money for gas fees, so I tried C2C and bought twenty dollars' worth of USDT, exchanged it for ETH, and then sent it to my Metamask wallet.
That month, I buried myself in writing code, but what I produced was still unsightly. I felt that the syntax style of Solidity was very similar to C++, reminding me of those days when I was severely beaten by errors while learning C++, and now I was being harshly punished by Solidity. However, looking back now, those feelings of frustration have long faded, leaving only the exhilaration when the code finally ran successfully. This experience was like a seed quietly buried in my heart, igniting an indescribable passion for the world of blockchain. With love for the whole, I have never truly left the crypto world since then.
A year has passed in the blink of an eye. A year of trading experience is insignificant in this market, and I am not a gifted person, just an ordinary student, an ordinary trader. What I hope for is simply to share some thoughts on trading and coding, finding a few companions in this unpredictable market. The content I write in the future may not all be correct, but it will certainly be heartfelt words after careful consideration, and if it can inspire you, it would be my honor.
As you can see, since Trump took office, the crypto world has been changing rapidly. How will blockchain penetrate reality in the future? I cannot predict, but I always believe its prospects must be vast. This belief, I will continue to uphold. If you are willing, I would be glad to walk this journey with you in the future.
