Bifrost just dropped its July Monthly Report. So I’m not just here to check the latest progress, but let’s get a sense of where we’re headed next.
🚀 What Stood Out on July
vDOT TVL surpasses $77M with over 19M vDOT minted — a 21.6% increase this month alone. It’s a clear sign that users and communities across chains are placing increasing trust in Bifrost and its vision.
Loopstake for vBNC now live with up to 4x leverage — The boosted APY (currently up to 13.6%) makes this a compelling option for users with a higher risk appetite. We’re eating good, fam.
Cross-chain vDOT transfers via AssetHub are live, unlocking smoother routes to liquidity and ecosystem interoperability.
SLPx 2.0 integration with Hyperbridge means that we can mint vASTR, vGLMR, and vBNC directly on L2s — and vDOT is just around the corner.
The DeFi Singularity campaign is on — vDOT/ETH pairs are incentivized across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, and BSC. If you’re adding liquidity, you’re earning more than just swap fees.
This momentum isn’t just numbers on a dashboard — it’s evidence that Bifrost’s vision for cross-chain, liquid staking accessibility is rapidly unfolding 💪
Beyond those highlights, here are some of the other major things Bifrost shipped in July — let’s go!
🔧 Tech Upgrades That Power the Future
This month saw the release of Runtime 20000, enabling:
Cross-chain vDOT transfers (via AssetHub)
Delegated voting with vTokenVoting
A decoupled vToken exchange rate model — which, in plain terms, means better compatibility with various cross-chain bridges
Fixes to XCM price feeds and SLPx PoC support on AssetHub
Meanwhile, Runtime 21000 is under development and preps Bifrost for the next big leap: full adaptation to AssetHub migration, SDK upgrades, and broader compatibility with future cross-chain systems like Hyperbridge.
The groundwork is being laid for a far more modular and interconnected liquid staking network.
🧱 Product Development and Ecosystem Growth
Bifrost’s TVL now stands at $98.3M, with vDOT as the clear leader. The platform’s growing utility across Ethereum-compatible ecosystems is no accident — integrations are accelerating, and SLPx is leading the way.
The launch of Loopstake for vBNC is a significant move, fam! Not only does it bring more utility to BNC holders, but it signals that Bifrost is serious about expanding LSD mechanics beyond passive staking.
SLPx’s integration with Hyperbridge is also a major milestone. As someone who’s actively tracking LSD adoption across chains, I can’t overstate how important native minting on L2s is. It’s the kind of UX and efficiency win that makes adoption seamless — and sticky.
🌍 Community & Ecosystem Activity
Besides the tech and product ships, there’s also been major movement on the ecosystem side:
Bifrost released a new workshop video guiding developers on how to build Uniswap v4 Hooks for LSTs — another step in empowering the builder community.
The team attended Web3 Summit in Berlin, deepening ties with the Polkadot ecosystem and broader Web3 builders.
A $500,000 bug bounty on Immunefi has been launched — a great move to bolster protocol security through community vigilance. Devs, it’s time to trade bugs for bags.
Bifrost also kicked off DeFi Connect in Vietnam, expanding its community presence in Southeast Asia and sharing Alpha with local builders.
🔮 Final Thoughts — Bullish on Bifrost
From my view, what excites me most is how Bifrost is evolving beyond just being “another liquid staking project.” It’s becoming an infrastructure layer for multichain DeFi — modular, composable, and accessible across chains.
