According to The Block data dashboard, Solana (SOL) saw a significant month-over-month increase in futures trading volume at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in July, reaching a new high since the product's launch. The total trading volume of SOL futures at CME skyrocketed from $2.3 billion in June to $8.1 billion in July, a month-over-month increase of 252%. Meanwhile, the average monthly open interest rose from $132.3 million to $400.9 million, a month-over-month increase of 203%.
The record high in Solana futures trading volume may be related to increased market confidence in the Solana ecosystem and expectations of related ETF approvals.
