🔍 TOKEN: A KEY TERM TO MASTER

A token is a digital asset issued on a blockchain.

It can represent currency, voting rights, access to a service, or even a tokenized physical asset.

Unlike a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin (which has its own blockchain), a token generally relies on an existing blockchain (like Ethereum or BNB Chain).

For example, FET is an Ethereum-based token.

👉 There are several types of tokens:

Utility token: provides access to a product or service (e.g., FET, LINK)

Security token: comparable to a financial asset (tokenized stocks, bonds...)

Governance token: allows voting in a DAO (e.g., UNI, AAVE)
