NEWS ALERT: WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE SUBMARINES SENT BY TRUMP AFTER RUSSIAN THREAT
Last week, the tension between the US and Russia rose again, and this time, with a nuclear tone.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev reacted with fury to Donald Trump's ultimatum for Russia to close a peace agreement with Ukraine in 10 days.
Medvedev called the statement a "step towards war" and said that Moscow is not "Israel or Iran", highlighting that the country has nuclear response capacity, as a last resort.
Trump didn't leave it cheap.
On Friday (1º), he announced the sending of two nuclear submarines to "appropriate regions", as a direct response to the threat of the former Russian president.
"Words have weight. And they can have serious consequences," Trump wrote.
When pressured by reporters, he was direct:
"A threat was made. And we will protect our people."
The Pentagon and the U.S. Navy refused to comment on the details, further increasing the climate of uncertainty.
