Supplies of Russian gas by the Gazprom monopoly to Europe through the Turkish Stream in July increased compared to June, when their volumes decreased due to repair work, by 37%, from 37.6 million to 51.5 million cubic meters per day.

This is reported by Reuters.

After the cessation of gas supplies through the Yamal-Europe and Nord Stream pipelines and the closure since January of this year of the route for transporting Russian gas through Ukraine, Gazprom has only one branch left to Europe — through Turkey with a capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters per year.

According to Reuters calculations, the total volume of supplies of Moscow gas to Europe through the Turkish Stream since the beginning of the year amounted to about 9.93 billion cubic meters compared to 9.3 billion cubic meters for the same period last year.

At the same time, Gazprom's export to Europe in January-July of last year amounted to 18.3 billion cubic meters, including transit volumes through Ukraine.

According to Gazprom data and Reuters calculations, the Putin office supplied about 63.8 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe via various routes in 2022. In 2023, this volume sharply decreased by 55.6% to 28.3 billion cubic meters, but in 2024 it increased to approximately 32 billion cubic meters.

At the peak of its growth in 2018-2019, annual gas flows to Europe reached between 175 and 180 billion cubic meters.

At the peak of its growth in 2018-2019, annual gas flows to Europe reached between 175 and 180 billion cubic meters.

As reported, Gazprom in 2024 recorded a net profit under international standards of 1.2 trillion rubles ($14.6 billion) compared to a net loss of 629.1 billion rubles in 2023.

Gas supplies by Gazprom to Europe through the Turkish Stream in February hit a historical maximum, exceeding 55 million cubic meters per day.

On January 1, 2025, the transit agreement between Gazprom and Naftogaz expired, due to which Ukraine stopped the transit of Russian gas through its territory.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the cessation of gas transit from the Muscovites through Ukraine, stating that this is one of the biggest defeats for Russia.
