Starting in crypto — initial capital: $10.93 on Binance

I am beginning with a very small investment because my priority now is to learn the ecosystem and develop discipline in risk management. I am not looking for a "stroke of luck," but rather to understand how decisions work.

Immediate goals:

• Understand the difference between spot, staking, and the risks of leverage.

• Ensure that my funds are protected (2FA authentication, phishing, key management).

• Learn to read basic BTC charts and distinguish between normal volatility and relevant signals.

• Document every step: entries/exits, emotions, sources of information.

Questions for those with experience:

1. What resources (channels, books, free courses) would you recommend to build a solid technical foundation in BTC/crypto?

2. What initial metrics or habits would you use to evaluate your progress without overtrading with such a small capital?

3. How do you manage security and what common mistakes should I avoid from the beginning?

Extras that I already do or plan to do:

• Use a hardware wallet or at least move what is not trading to a controlled wallet.

• Not use leverage until I have a proven strategy in paper trading.

• Keep a trading and learning journal.

Any concrete advice (tools, readings, capital preservation tactics, mindset) will be very valuable. 🙏
