In a recent post on X, the @Shibizens account belonging to SHIB tagged Elon Musk when mentioning something he loves — memes. In the comments, the SHIB legion also tagged the tech mogul and owner of X, urging him to join the SHIB community and start burning Shiba Inu meme money.
"Elon Musk Should Burn SHIB"
In the X post mentioned above, the @Shibizens account reminded the SHIB community that they are here for the technology and they 'live for memes.' They called on developers to create products that are different from most products on the market, while stating that Elon Musk would agree with this statement: 'Built differently. @elonmusk will understand.'
X user and SHIB enthusiast Luca Wizard tweeted in the comments that Elon Musk should start burning SHIB meme coins and reminded the community that Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin once destroyed a large volume of SHIB worth about 500 trillion.
"@elonmusk should burn $SHIB 🔥, otherwise it will never be better than @VitalikButerin," he said.
Vitalik Buterin Destroys Half of SHIB Supply
In 2021, the mysterious founder of SHIB, Ryoshi, decided to honor Buterin since Shiba Inu was launched on Ethereum and sent him half of the 500 trillion SHIB - 500 trillion coins.
Buterin, without hesitation, sent almost all of that money to an unspendable wallet. Recently, he admitted that at that time, he did not believe in the potential of this coin and therefore did not want to hold half the supply to avoid any interference with its price. The remaining coins were sent to India to support the response to the aftermath of the pandemic.
