In 2013, James Howells threw away a hard drive containing 8,000 BTC. Without the seed, he never regained access to his sats. This story teaches us that custody is a responsibility. Write down your seed in several safe places, regularly test the recovery, and teach your family to do the same. Your financial freedom depends on it. Don't trust services that promise 'magical storage' of your key; do your own research and maintain your independence. Only Bitcoin is truly decentralized, but it won't remind you where your backup is. DYOR and keep your legacy protected.
