The Arena-Z game, formerly known as League of Kingdoms, has officially changed its name to become a comprehensive gaming-driven platform. This change introduces a variety of strategic alterations, such as a new token (A2Z), several new game titles, and a $20 million fund to accelerate ecosystem growth.

During the renovation process, Arena-Z will enjoy a franchise system that allows it to continue with different names for the game. This includes two new additions, LOK Chronicle and LOK Hunters, both in a trial phase and scheduled to be made available for the original game by the end of the quarter. This integration will enable players to maintain their digital identity, digital assets, and achievements across all three games.

This transition will mark a significant change in the growth of independent blockchain games into an integrated Web3 franchise system. Player behavior in one game can now influence their performance in the Arena-Z environment. To support this model, Arena-Z has launched a $20 million ecosystem grant program, funded through staking and treasury reserves. The founding partners are already XOCIETY, Pebble City, and The New Order (TNO).

One aspect of the rebranding is the change of the token from LOKA to A2Z. The token exchange ratio will be 1:20. A2Z retains all previous LOKA features and offers a shared utility for titles, including enhancement possibilities, rewards, and decentralized governance. Both Binance and HTX have announced their support for the transition to A2Z, and other trading platforms are likely to add their support as well. The official exchange gateway will launch on July 28 at 03:00 UTC.

Arena-Z has also become the first second-level game series within the OP Superchain series, and it remains the only Korean gaming infrastructure supported by the Binance and Coinbase platforms. The imminent global expansion of Arena-Z, thanks to its recent strategic partnership with one of Korea's largest game publishing companies, NHN, reflects the significant institutional support it enjoys.

To enhance the platform's depth, Arena-Z will introduce the AZZY system, a companion digital system that reflects user activity and interaction throughout the ecosystem. AZZY has been developed in an interactive manner and will be available in its initial release at launch on the Arena-Z website.

The League of Kingdoms game was released in 2020 and was one of the first blockchain games to expand to a global audience, peaking at 150,000 daily active users across more than 210 countries. Notable investors in the project include a16z crypto, Hashed, YZi Labs (formerly known as Binance Labs), Peak XV Partners (formerly known as Sequoia Capital), YGG, and others.
