🧩【Alpha New Coin Overview | Is $GAIA an Opportunity or Just Another AI Skin?】

Today, let's briefly talk about the newly launched $GAIA (GaiaNet). I took a quick look at its financing structure and token distribution, and organized a few points for everyone to judge for themselves.

🧠 What is the project about?

In simple terms, GAIA aims to create a decentralized AI network.

Theoretically, it is in the direction of 'personal AI assistants,' integrating narratives of edge computing and data privacy.

It sounds great, but currently, the practical path seems quite idealistic; I haven't seen any particularly impressive demos of the product yet.

💸 Financing Situation

On July 23, it just announced a round of financing totaling 20 million USD: seed round + Series A, each 10 million.

There are quite a few investors, led by ByteTrade Lab, SUSQUEHANNA, MANTLE, Mirana (of Bybit), and they also brought in MoonPay, which is more of a retail entry.

From the financing perspective, the backing is indeed sufficient, and the resources should not be lacking.

📊 Opening & Token Structure

Launched on July 30 on Alpha, Bitget, MEXC, Kraken.

The opening price on Alpha was 0.05, and now it’s around 0.11, more than doubling.

Total Supply: 1 billion

Initial Circulation: 17%, current circulating market cap is about 18.7 million USD.

FDV: Approximately 110 million based on the current token price.

Institutions: 20%

Team: 15% (not clear how long it’s locked)

Mining Incentives: 32%

Community + Ecosystem + Token Pool: Total 17% (of which part is early release)

The initial circulation is quite small, and there aren’t many community airdrops, so the selling pressure is currently not significant, making it easier for the price to rise.

✅ Points I think are good

Strong financing, with resources and connections, there should be further moves ahead.

Controlled airdrops, deployed on the ETH mainnet, indicating that the project team is genuinely investing money.

AI + Infra + Agent + Edge, the narrative is relatively new.

❗ Points I am cautious about

There are too many AI Infra projects now, many are just 'shells + issuing tokens.'

I haven’t seen a particularly clear token empowerment logic; besides incentivizing nodes, there doesn’t seem to be a compelling reason to hold.

🧾 In summary:

It's suitable for players chasing AI narratives and investing in resource tokens, but I do not recommend a 'blind buy' approach.

Currently, the trend is hot, and institutions are involved; the key is to see if there will be substantial products and a token value closed loop in the future. Friends who have actually deployed nodes or tried demos are also welcome to share their experiences.
