Let's share some pitfalls encountered while managing communities on TG, for reference only, everyone avoid the traps!

1. 🧐 TG Scammer

The most common scam technique, usually someone's account has been hacked, they will DM you saying your account is abnormal. If you click on the bot verification or follow the screenshot provided by the scammer, you will fall into the trap, and your account will also be hacked. The correct action at this point is to not respond, directly block + report, and immediately enable two-factor authentication (2FA).

2. 🎣 Phishing Emails: Obvious fake "Official Notice"

Those "Your account is at risk, click to verify immediately" requests that prompt you to click for re-verification, and another type is sending fake authorization that if you click on, your wallet funds could be transferred away. Prevention method: Check the sender carefully, if you encounter this kind of situation, do not click on external links, be sure not to act impulsively.

3. Pixiu scams/Phishing schemes

Method: Spreading fake airdrop links or claiming TGE has already happened in the comments section of social media (like X platform) to trick people into buying bi. Reminder: Projects with low credibility carry extremely high risks, be sure to verify the authenticity of the project.

4. Fake Job Offers

There are indeed many pitfalls in web3 job hunting, especially for remote positions, where the other party is likely to delay salary payments or run away entirely. Everyone should carefully check the background of the recruiting party.
