The WOO X cryptocurrency exchange based in Taiwan has temporarily frozen withdrawals after 14 million USD worth of cryptocurrency was stolen from nine user accounts in a clear hack.

WOO X's Response and Commitment to Compensation

According to Cyvers Alerts, nine accounts #WOO X made "unauthorized withdrawals" sent to the hacker's wallet and then transferred out. WOO X stated on X (formerly Twitter) that they are working with "external security teams and other exchanges to stop the flow of funds," while sharing the hacker's wallet address.

WOO X has announced on its website, reassuring affected users that "all unauthorized withdrawals will be fully compensated." The exchange also stated that the suspension of withdrawals is a precautionary measure to complete an internal review and will update when the withdrawal function is reactivated. #Hacker
