Crypto in Vietnam is about to be taxed at 0.1% per transaction!

The Ministry of Finance proposes: all crypto, NFT, digital asset... transactions will be taxed at 0.1% on each transfer, similar to securities.

– For the first time, digital assets are recognized legally in Vietnam, thanks to the Digital Technology Industry Law (effective from 01/01/2026).

– The 0.1% tax rate may only be the first step – in the future, there could be additional taxes such as VAT, personal income tax, corporate tax...
