Gas fees are as expensive as tolls, and on-chain calculations are cautious. The Lagrange coprocessor says it wants to take on this task, with proofs submitted after off-chain calculations. Saving 90% of costs sounds tempting. However, if this processor calculates incorrectly, or if someone tampers with it, those on-chain gentlemen won't be able to discern the truth with just the proofs, and that could lead to significant losses.
