Is making money when you're young good or bad?
A local boss in cross-border e-commerce, who has over 20 employees and has been in business for 5 years, earns over 100 a year.
During our conversation, he said this is nothing; back in the day, he helped others with African visas and, coincidentally during the upswing in 2008, made a few hundred in just one year, and after a few years, earned over 2000.
But at that time, he was in his 30s, full of youthful vigor, and invested more than half of his earnings into private equity, ultimately losing it all.
According to him, making money is almost unrelated to ability; the key factors are the right opportunity and luck.
