I've been through almost 10 years in the cryptocurrency space, experiencing both gains and losses. I've been involved in ICOs, meme coins, mining, etc., and have gone through three cycles of bull and bear markets. After countless operations, I've concluded that there is only one way to make steady profits: it's simple and straightforward, something everyone understands:

Buy during the bear market and sell during the bull market for a sure profit.

A bull market typically lasts 6 months to 1 year, while a bear market usually lasts 1 to 2 years. A full cycle of bull and bear lasts 3 to 4 years. Seize the opportunity to earn at least 50%+ returns in every bull market, which is sufficient to outperform various financial products like stocks and funds. This 50%+ return is guaranteed without any suspense.

Disclaimer:

The following approach is only suitable for cryptocurrency speculators like me who have limited funds (within 100,000 to 300,000), lack technical knowledge (for example, do not seek deep understanding of cryptocurrency technology), and have no channels or insider information.
If you are well-versed in some new technologies in the cryptocurrency space, accurately select coins, and have a precise understanding, please trust your own judgment. If you have channels or insider information, please bring me along.

1. Only plan during bear markets.

You must have patience and try to position at the bottom of the bear market (though it is impossible to buy at the true bottom). A simple condition to judge the bottom of the bear market is when no one is paying attention to Bitcoin, and the cryptocurrency market is lifeless. You can buy intermittently during this period, which may last for a year or even longer.

2. Only buy mainstream coins.

BTC and ETH are always the kings of the cryptocurrency market; buying during a bear market is definitely not a mistake. They may not multiply in value, but buying during the bear market and holding until selling in the bull market will certainly yield over 50% returns. This is the first choice for large funds.

Exchange platform coins: such as BNB.

More robust foundational chains: such as SOL, AVAX.

Good infrastructure coins: such as MATIC.

Strong consensus coins: Dogecoin, SHIB (I do not recommend strong consensus coins, as their practical value is low, relying entirely on the number of buyers to create strong consensus).

Heavy investments should only be in mainstream coins; never heavily invest in altcoins. The logic of altcoins is to 'cut leeks', and many types of altcoins are born in every bull market. An altcoin that is surging in this bull market may fall completely silent in the next bull market, overshadowed by the brilliance of new altcoins. Without internal channels or information, it is almost impossible to hit the right timing to buy an altcoin before it explodes. Usually, people only learn about an altcoin after it has surged significantly, and by then, it is already too late to follow in. Maybe following might yield some lucky gains, but it is more likely to experience fluctuations and losses. Altcoins are too volatile, and most people cannot hold onto them regardless of price changes. They often end up with small gains and large losses. In the end, they will incur losses.

3. Sell during the mid-bull market and do not operate afterwards.

At the beginning of the bull market, BTC will gradually rise, shining alone, leading ETH to increase as well. At this point, some good mainstream coins will rise, while others will slowly increase, with only a few altcoins soaring, while most altcoins remain quiet.

During the mid-bull market, BTC and ETH fluctuate and rise, mainstream coins start to gain momentum, and altcoins begin to activate.

In the later stage of the bull market, BTC fluctuates and declines, while ETH may continue to surge. Mainstream coins will also follow suit, and the next cycle of bullish altcoins may increase several times, even hundreds of times.

At the end of the bull market, BTC may drop thousands or even tens of thousands of points, then slightly recover. The first sharp drop recovers quickly, giving the illusion of just an adjustment. After two or three such drops, the bull market is declared over. If you find yourself trapped, do not hold onto fantasies; cut your losses in time. Otherwise, your capital will be dragged into an abyss.

3. Do not gamble during the bull market.

There are many opportunities during the bull market, especially in the later stages, when altcoins are soaring, and many altcoins experience dramatic increases, which can be very tempting. It's easy to impulsively chase after certain promising but not yet explosive altcoins, waiting confidently for their price to skyrocket. This mentality should be avoided as it is essentially gambling, which is unrelated to investment.

Every cycle of the bull market will give birth to many altcoins that cut leeks. These altcoins have substantial hype and seem to have strong backing, with very strong upward momentum. Please resist the temptation until the tide recedes and you see who is swimming naked. When BTC plummets and the bear market arrives, these altcoins are often halved or even pushed close to zero.

If you can't resist the temptation, you can only use a very small amount of funds to play around. Even if you make a small profit, never get carried away and invest heavily. Absolutely do not, absolutely do not, absolutely do not. This is gambling, and you can't always rely on luck. It's not about making money a hundred times; it's about the fear of losing just once, which could wipe out all your capital. Do not fantasize about investing heavily in an altcoin and then becoming rich, as it is akin to dreaming of winning the lottery, a super rare event. Small amounts can be played for entertainment, but treating it as an investment is a huge mistake.

4. More patience, less impulsiveness.

After buying in a bear market, you need to patiently wait until selling in a bull market; do not operate on the fluctuations during this period, and waiting requires patience.

After selling during the bull market, patiently wait for the bull market to collapse and enter a bear market. This process may take one or two years. Do not impulsively buy at the halfway or foot of the mountain; patiently wait for the moment it reaches the bottom.

After selling for profit during the bull market, do not give in to the temptation to impulsively play with altcoins. If you really want to gamble, you can only use a maximum of 10% of your funds.

5. Capital is always the most important.

If you accidentally make a wrong move and get trapped, preserving your capital is the most important thing. During a crash in the cryptocurrency market, be willing to cut losses in time to protect most of your capital and basic funds. There is still hope for a comeback. Be patient and wait for the cryptocurrency market to hit rock bottom, then use the remaining capital to buy the dip. Do not get trapped and accompany the cryptocurrency market in its crash; many times, if you buy a trapped coin and sell before the market crashes, you may only lose 50% of your capital, but if you ignore it and let it drop, stubbornly hold until the end, when this coin falls with the market, the remaining capital will have almost no chance of recovery.
