Breakout trading is one of my favorite strategies, especially in high-volatility markets. I focus on identifying key support and resistance zones using volume analysis and historical price action. A confirmed breakout for me includes a strong candle close above the resistance with increased volume.

To avoid fakeouts, I always wait for retests of the breakout level. If price holds the breakout zone after the retest, I enter the trade with a tight stop-loss just below the level. I also combine indicators like RSI and MACD divergence for extra confirmation. Risk management is crucial, so I size my position accordingly.
