SharpLink Gaming, a Nasdaq-listed company, has become the largest corporate holder of Ethereum ($ETH ), surpassing the Ethereum Foundation. As of July 15, 2025, SharpLink has accumulated 280,706 ETH, worth approximately $840 million, after purchasing 74,656 ETH for $213 million at an average price of $2852 per coin. The Ethereum Foundation, which was previously the leader, holds 196,354 ETH ($591 million). A significant portion of SharpLink's assets (99.7%) is staked, yielding the company 415 ETH ($1.2 million) in rewards since June.
This step is part of the SharpLink strategy, led by Chairman Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum, who emphasizes decentralization and long-term support for the network. The company raised $413 million through a stock sale to fund purchases of ETH, with $257 million remaining for future investments. This shift reflects a growing trend among companies investing in crypto assets, similar to MicroStrategy's strategy with Bitcoin. The market reaction was positive: SharpLink's shares rose by 10%, and the price of ETH increased by 18%, reaching $3000. Stay tuned for crypto market news! Subscribe to #MiningUpdates
